on the west coast of Britain, Wales faces Ireland across

Land of Song’, it was home of poet Dylan Thomas,
singers Tom Jones and Shirley Bassey, and the actress
Catherine Zeta Jones.
Wales offers choice: in country towns and villages,
people still take time to say hello to their neighbours,
and the best of the old ways have been retained, while
Cardiff and Swansea have reputations as two of Europe’s
most dynamic cities.
Some fall in love with the wonderful scenery: craggy
mountains, farms nestled on round green hills, flocks
of sheep, headlands and long sandy bays kissed by the

love the heritage, and enthralling saga of Romans and
Vikings, Celtic missionaries, and the first flowerings
